At Sithe Global, we are proud of our record and reputation for operating our stations in a safe and conscientious manner, and being a good neighbour in every community in which we live and work. By sharing our development plans from "Day One", fostering local community input and maintaining an open door throughout the development and operation of our stations, we strive to identify and address issues of concern to area residents. In keeping with this commitment, we are currently undertaking detailed studies and engineering to: • finalize a suitable site layout • significantly reduce stack emissions and   quantify potential local cumulative impacts • assess ambient noise patterns and   conditions, and design appropriate     noise mitigation • ensure that the latest in proven standards of   practice are employed in handling and   managing all materials at the station.
	Emergency preparedness planning is an integral part of our commitment to operate our stations in a safe and responsible manner. In keeping with this philosophy, an emergency preparedness plan will be crafted in close cooperation with local and provincial authorities.
