Major chemicals used at the station are limited to aqueous ammonia, as part of the NOx emissions reduction process, and those required to maintain the plant’s water quality. All chemicals and chemical by-products will be stored and handled by highly trained and experienced personnel, using the latest in proven systems and practises to ensure strict compliance with all applicable health, safety and environmental requirements.
